Description

Arabic is the primary language of legal education in Arab countries, and it is the official language used in primary and higher education in most Arab nations. However, it still faces several challenges, notably the general weakness among most of its students at all educational levels, traditional teaching methods that do not keep pace with technological advancements in education, and deficiencies in its programs and curricula. This necessitates facilitating the teaching of Arabic sciences to its children and learners, equipping them with skills through modern, freely available digital media that consolidate its disparate aspects, lower its barriers, and simplify its complexities.

Session Topic

Introducing a new curriculum for teaching Arabic, presenting its knowledge and skills through tables, charts, diagrams, plans, illustrations, colorful and freely available graphics from the Wikimedia Commons to make them accessible to all who benefit from them. The session will include a brief presentation of selected charts that encompass knowledge and skills from Arabic sciences (morphology, spelling rules, and grammar) designed with the circular education approach. Detailed explanations will be limited to two charts: the rules of drawing the "hamza" and the characteristics of Arabic morphology.

Session Outputs
  • Introducing a new approach to facilitate Arabic teaching for its children and others.
  • Introducing new freely available digital teaching media on Wikimedia Commons, aiding in the facilitation, dissemination, and empowerment of Arabic education.
